Cardiac Disease Management Program
Over the years, Home Solutions has studied and developed a home Inotropic program with a goal of improving patient quality of life through therapeutic intervention with intravenous

General Information

More than 2 million Americans suffer from congestive heart failure and over 400,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. Long hospital stays account for over two-thirds of the 10 billion dollars
spent each year caring for this condition. Home Solutions has focused on strategies that will reduce hospital stays, thereby decreasing costs while increasing patient satisfaction to help control staggering bills.

For patients with severe heart failure that are resistant to oral medications intravenous therapy with home inotropes has been shown to reduce cost of care by up to fifty percent over hospitals or nursing facilities. Home Solutions has the clinical and technological expertise to offer qualifying CHF patients the comfort, privacy, mobility, and independence associated with a normal lifestyle.

Program Administration

Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone and recently approved Nesiritide are agents used for the management of end-stage congestive heart failure in patients who have not responded adequately to digitalis, diuretics, beta-blockers, and/or vasodilators. Inotropic agents are also approved and found to be useful in treating acute hypotensive and low cardiac output conditions. Intermittent and continuous infusions of these agents have also been used by some cardiologists to stabilize patients awaiting heart transplantation.

Our nurses closely monitor and evaluate health and cardiac status with state of the art equipment and clinical expertise.
