Nutrition Support

We will perform an initial evaluation of the patient and then develop a plan of treatment that is structured with critical pathways for this patient population. This plan of treatment is then submitted to the physician for their approval. Patients are evaluated by the Clinical Team which includes a Board Certified Nutritional Support Physician, Board Certified Nutritional Support Pharmacist and Registered Dietician as well as other Clinical Staff Pharmacists and Nurses. Summaries of a patient's progress will be sent to the appropriate caring physician on a bimonthly basis until the patient is discharged from the program.

The goals of this treatment plan are maximizing positive patient outcomes in the most efficient
and cost effective manner possible.

Program Effectiveness

The Nutrition Support Team meetings provide a forum for discussion via case studies of participating patients with outcomes of improving patient care through formula modification thereby promoting a shorter length of stay on therapy and cost containment to the payer.
